Our Mission: Closing the Safety Gap
We are the UK’s first national infrastructure dedicated to protecting pets in transit. We exist for one reason: To ensure that no pet is ever left behind, stranded, or denied medical care because their owner is incapacitated.
Why We Built The Safety Net
For years, a terrifying flaw existed in the UK’s emergency system.
When a serious road accident occurs, priorities are instant: Paramedics focus on saving human life, Fire Crews extract the injured, and Police or National Highways officers secure the scene.
But until now, there was no dedicated protocol for the pets involved.
We realised that thousands of dogs were being left at roadsides, tied up, or held in police cells simply because no one had the authority to take them, or the funds to pay for their immediate veterinary care.
We refused to accept that.
We built The Pet Recovery Club to be the ‘Authorised Guardian’ for every member. We combined advanced Cloud Bio-Data technology with a 24/7 logistical response team to bridge the gap between the accident scene and the vet clinic.

Animal Welfare Excellence
OUR EXPERTISE
Unrivalled Expertise in Crisis Care
We believe every journey should be safe, but we plan for the ones that go wrong. The Pet Recovery Club isn’t just a membership; we are the UK’s only dedicated infrastructure designed specifically for pets in transit.
Our mission is simple: To professionalise the response to animal accidents. By combining 25 years of animal welfare experience with advanced bio-data technology, we empower emergency services to act faster, smarter, and safer.
We provide what no one else can: The legal authority, the immediate funding, and the logistical network to protect your companion when you are physically unable to.
THE CRITICAL GAP
A Missing Link in the Chain of Care
We founded the Pet Recovery Club to address a dangerous oversight. When a vehicle accident occurs, the focus is rightly on human well-being. But amidst the blue lights and confusion, the animal in the back seat often has no voice and no advocate.
Existing emergency services are dedicated professionals, but they are not equipped for veterinary trauma. They lack the specialist resources, containment systems, and direct veterinary access required to handle a frightened, injured pet safely.
This structural gap leaves countless pets vulnerable to delayed treatment or holding cells. We stepped in to provide the dedicated infrastructure ensuring that your pet is not just an afterthought, but a priority patient.
Alarming reality highlighted by stark statistics:
52 Million Pet Car Journeys Annually
Each year, over 52 million car journeys in the UK involve pets, putting a significant number of animals at risk in the event of an accident.
Emergency Support Often Unavailable
RSPCA and local dog wardens are frequently unavailable, especially during overnight hours, leaving a void in immediate care for pets involved in accidents.
Pets Kept in Cells Overnight
Police officers report having to keep dogs in cells overnight due to the lack of established procedures for handling animals after accidents.
OUR SERVICES
Here's How Our Service Works:
Accident Occurs
A road accident occurs involving a vehicle with pets and their owners on board.
Step 1
Pet Identification
Emergency services arrive at the scene and identify the pet(s) involved. This can be done through the pet's microchip or a unique Pet Recovery Club tag.
Step 2
Contacting the Call Center
The emergency services immediately contact the Pet Recovery Club's 24/7 call center.
Step 3
Triage and Assistance
Our veterinary-trained call center team provides expert guidance to the emergency services, helping them assess and triage any pet injuries.
Step 4
Urgent Veterinary Care
If urgent veterinary treatment is necessary, we arrange for the pet to be transported to the nearest partner veterinary clinic. The clinic is notified in advance and can access the pet's medical history and insurance details via their microchip.
Step 5
Non-Urgent Cases
If the pet doesn't require immediate medical attention, the emergency services secure the pet in a safe location.
Step 6
Pet Sitter Dispatch
A Pet Recovery Club sitter is dispatched to collect the pet and provide temporary care. The sitter has access to the pet's profile, including their likes, dislikes, habits, and dietary needs.
Step 7
Pet Transport
Once the pet is stable, our dedicated pet transport team collects the pet from either the sitter or the veterinary clinic and returns them home or to a designated contact.
