THE UK'S ONLY ACCIDENT GUARDIANSHIP SERVICE

The Safety Net You Didn't Know You Missed.

You protect your car with breakdown cover. You protect your family with insurance. But who protects your pet if you are taken to hospital after a crash?

Emergency vets are dedicated to saving lives, but treating an unknown animal without Legal Consent or Medical History places them in a difficult position. They are often legally restricted from performing major procedures without owner authorisation.

We solve this dilemma. We arrive virtually with your signed authorization, your pet’s medical records, and immediate funding.

We handle the protocols so the vet can focus entirely on what matters most saving your pet.

And once they are stable, we don’t just leave them there. We arrange professional transport to return them safely to your home or your designated trusted contact—getting them back where they belong

THE REALITY OF ROAD TRAVEL

Why You Need a Dedicated Response Team.

Every year, over 52 million pet journeys take place on UK roads. But when accidents happen, the standard support system prioritises human life.

The RSPCA and local dog wardens are frequently unavailable out-of-hours, and Police are not equipped to care for injured animals. This leaves a dangerous “void” in care at the roadside. We exist to fill that void.

The Hidden Dangers of Travel

52 Million Annual Journeys

With over 52 million pet journeys on UK roads annually, the statistical risk of a vehicle accident increases with every single mile that you travel.

Support Often Unavailable

Local wardens and charities are often unavailable out-of-hours, leaving a dangerous “care void” for injured pets at the scene of a roadside emergency.

Pets Kept in Cells Overnight

Police often have to lock dogs in holding cells overnight, simply because there is no authorised guardian available to take immediate custody of them.

The Pet Recovery Protocol

From Accident Scene to Veterinary Care: The Workflow

In the event of a vehicle accident, the Emergency Services Responder identifies your membership and calls our 24/7 Pet Aid Helpline.

1. Immediate Triage & Direction
Our in-house Vet Assistance Team performs an immediate triage over the phone with the Police Officer or Responder. If urgent medical attention is required, we locate the nearest open, verified surgery from our national network of over 5,000+ registered RCVS clinics and direct the Police to transport the pet immediately.

2. The “Bio-Data” Handover
We don’t just send the pet; we send the intelligence. Before the Police arrive at the clinic, our support team notifies the treating vet and transmits the triage notes.

3. Instant Access to Critical Data
Upon arrival, the vet scans the pet’s microchip to instantly access our cloud system. This unlocks the Registered Owner Details, Presiding Vet Records, Current Medical History, and your signed Consent to Treat

This ensures the vet has the legal authority and medical insight to begin life-saving work immediately.

OUR SERVICES

Here's How Our Service Works:

Accident Occurs

A road accident occurs involving a vehicle with pets and their owners on board.

Step 1

Pet Identification

Emergency services arrive at the scene and identify the pet(s) involved. This can be done through the pet's microchip or a unique Pet Recovery Club tag.

Step 2

Contacting the Call Center

The emergency services immediately contact the Pet Recovery Club's 24/7 call center.

Step 3

Triage and Assistance

Our veterinary-trained call center team provides expert guidance to the emergency services, helping them assess and triage any pet injuries.

Step 4

Urgent Veterinary Care

If urgent veterinary treatment is necessary, we arrange for the pet to be transported to the nearest partner veterinary clinic. The clinic is notified in advance and can access the pet's medical history and insurance details via their microchip.

Step 5

Non-Urgent Cases

If the pet doesn't require immediate medical attention, the emergency services secure the pet in a safe location.

Step 6

Pet Sitter Dispatch

A Pet Recovery Club sitter is dispatched to collect the pet and provide temporary care. The sitter has access to the pet's profile, including their likes, dislikes, habits, and dietary needs.

Step 7

Pet Transport

Once the pet is stable, our dedicated pet transport team collects the pet from either the sitter or the veterinary clinic and returns them home or to a designated contact.

*The Emergency Assurance Fund: Recognising that vets often require immediate payment before treating an unknown animal, your membership grants access to our Mutual Assurance Fund.

(We will directly pay up to £1,500 for urgent veterinary fees if your pet is injured in a vehicle accident).

Activation: This support is triggered only when our Pet Aid Team—in coordination with a verified Emergency Services Responder at the scene—confirms that immediate veterinary intervention is required. It also extends to pets showing delayed distress whilst in the custody of a sitter or our HomePet 365 Transportation Team.

Important Note: This benefit is explicitly not an insurance product. It is a service guarantee designed to remove financial barriers to life-saving first aid. It does not apply to routine care, pre-existing conditions, or non-accident related illness. Full terms apply.*
